OF MALNUTRITION ON THE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS.
ABSTRACT
This work discusses the perceived influence of
malnutrition on the academic performance of secondary school students. A hundred and twenty questionnaires were
distributed among parents/guardians and teachers from selected schools in Nigeria.
Interviews and surveys were also conducted.
Primary and secondary data were used in the
analysis. Tables and percentages were used as the instrument of analysis
It was observed therefore that malnutrition have a
significant negative influence on the academic performance of secondary school
students. Also, there is a negative relationship between malnutrition and
academic performance of secondary school students.
