ABSTRACT
This work
discusses problems and prospect of effective implementation of teaching
practice in primary education. A hundred and twenty questionnaires were
distributed among teachers from selected primary schools. Interviews and
surveys were also conducted.
Primary and secondary data were used in the analysis. Tables and percentages
were used as the instrument of analysis.
It was observed therefore that primary education has a significant positive
impact on the nation. Poor teaching aids and remuneration of teachers have a
significant negative impact on primary education in Nigeria.
